Krystal Crockett Each year students come from a diversity of businesses and meet monthly to learn more about the Bixby community. Leadership Bixby is an 8-session program, sponsored and coordinated by the Bixby Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Bixby Development Foundation, to identify, educate and develop a select group of citizens for positions of community leadership. Participants meet each month during September, October, November, January, February, March and April with an orientation kick-off in September. By completion of the class, students will understand all the components to ensure a successful community: leadership development, history of Bixby, state and city government, education, human care, Oklahoma issues, and how economic developments happen. Over 450 participants have graduated from the program since 2002.
