Participants meet each month during September\, October\, November\, January\, February\, March and April with an orientation kick-off in September.\n \n\n\n \n \n \n\n The program's principal goal is to build a resource of community leadership on a\n\n planned\, continuing basis with four specific objectives:\n\n \n\n \n To identify potential community leaders.\n To expand the leadership potential of participants by increasing their knowledge of Bixby and the critical issues that face the community and to introduce participants to present community leaders.\n To improve communications between present and future leaders.\n To provide a channel for those not presently in leadership roles to gain access to positions of community leadership in an informed and responsible manner.\n \n \n \n \n\n\nBy completion of the class\, students will understand all the components to ensure a successful community: leadership development\, history of Bixby\, state and city government\, education\, human care\, Oklahoma issues\, and how economic developments happen.
