Description
FREE QUARRY LANDFILL DAYS FOR BIXBY RESIDENTS APRIL 26th & 27th, 2013.
Free landfill days for Bixby residents will be Friday and Saturday, April 26th and 27th, 2013, at the Quarry Landfill on 46th Street North in Tulsa, approximately 1-1 ½ miles east of US 169.
Bixby utility customers can dispose of unwanted items, with some exceptions, as noted below on those days.
Participants must show a City of Bixby utility bill or drivers license with an address within the Bixby City Limits in order to be admitted to the landfill.
No items containing Freon refrigerant will be accepted (air conditioners and refrigerators). There will be a two dollar ($2) fee for each discarded tire to cover state fees for disposal and recycling.
Loads in trucks and trailers should be secured and covered to prevent contents from blowing onto roadways and creating traffic hazards.

The Metropolitan Environmental Trust Fairgrounds Pollution Collection Event for Bixby residents will be held:
Saturday, April 13th, and Sunday, April 14th, 2013.
10:00 am until 3:00 pm.
Tulsa State Fairgrounds, Gate 7, 15th and Sandusky Street.
ACCEPTED WASTE: Household cleaners, pesticides, fertilizers, automotive fluids, cooking oil, batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, ammunition under .50 caliber, smoke alarms, NON-LATEX PAINTS, pool chemicals, stains, medications, and items containing mercury.
UNACCEPTED WASTE: Commercial waste, LATEX PAINT, tires, computers, radioactive materials, dioxins, pressurized gas cylinders, explosives, and water reactive chemicals.
