Our annual request for feedback had two strong themes and one was regular updates on what is going on in the city. This article will come through monthly (or more often if big news breaks!). In case you aren’t a last line reader – please reach out to me directly for any details you need.
I get asked a lot what’s happening at City Hall — and I love that our community cares enough to ask.
Here’s your quick check-in: the City of Bixby is staying focused on the work that keeps Bixby strong. Infrastructure planning, road and bridge improvements, and core city services continue to move forward — the steady, behind-the-scenes progress that supports growth while protecting what makes Bixby feel like home.
City leaders remain engaged and accessible through regular City Council and Planning Commission meetings, creating space for open conversation, transparency, and thoughtful long-range planning.
Why This Matters for Business
When the basics work, business works. Reliable infrastructure and intentional planning support customers, employees, development, and long-term confidence. Stability creates momentum — and momentum helps our local businesses thrive.
Your Chamber at the Table
At the Bixby Metro Chamber of Commerce, staying connected to City leadership is part of our everyday work. We’re in regular communication with City leaders, host a monthly leadership meeting with the Chamber, City, and Schools, and stay actively engaged on the issues shaping our community and economy.
I also had the opportunity to attend the City Council retreat on January 10, helping ensure the business community’s perspective is part of long-range conversations.
Want to Dig Deeper?
Until next month — if you ever have questions about what’s happening in Bixby or want me to dig into something specific, just reach out. That’s what your Chamber is here for.
