BIXBY PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO HOST RIBBON-CUTTING FOR THE BIXBY APPLIED CREATIVITY CENTER: A FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND SPACE TO LEARN, DREAM, AND REIMAGINE
BIXBY, OK – Bixby Public Schools is proud to announce the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Bixby Applied Creativity Center, a bold, state-of-the-art innovation space where imagination meets action, and creativity becomes reality.

📍: 601 S Riverview Drive
The Applied Creativity Center is a first-of-its-kind learning environment—not only for Bixby but for the entire state of Oklahoma. This dynamic space was designed to empower students and community members alike to imagine more, create what’s never been, and explore boldly.
The facility will feature the only Omnideck VR treadmill in the United States, and the first one ever to be made available for public education; a complete audio production and recording studio; a drone piloting and avionics lab; an open-plan computing and innovation hub equipped for high-level editing, development, and design; a maker space to take designs from digital to physical; and an expansion of our Vex IQ robotics program, which Bixby Middle School has been highly successful with in recent years.
“This isn’t just a classroom—it’s a launchpad,” said Superintendent Rob Miller. “It’s a space to try, to fail, to fly. A place to dream out loud, wonder on paper, and collaborate across disciplines. We built this center not only for our students, but for our entire Bixby community. Everyone is welcome to learn, to make, to grow.”
The district is grateful for innovator Shai Kaiser's technical advice and creative energy, as well as Noisetown Tulsa’s Mike Rodriguez and Dustin Howard, who have been instrumental in making this space a reality.
"Bixby is beyond privileged to get to try something like this, and we hope to put that privilege to use by iterating a project-based blend of career tech and common core principles that will prepare students for the world as it is today,” said Shai Kaiser. “To avoid 'today' becoming 'yesterday' as it so often does, we will enlist the help of experts who work in the relevant fields to ensure we stay current with the needs our students will inherit. If done right, we should end up with a playbook that we are happy to share with any other district interested in joining us on the cutting edge.”
Visitors will find a hands-on environment where curiosity leads and creativity thrives. Whether you're a student, parent, entrepreneur, or lifelong learner, the Bixby Applied Creativity Center is your invitation to make, break, re-make, and re-think.
Join us on the 4th to see many of these tools and toys in action, with demonstrations by our very own students.
