Description

The Bixby Police Department will be hosting its fourth Citizen Police Academy. The academy will begin Thursday August 29th2013 and conclude November 14th2013. The academy will be held at the Bixby Police Department each Thursday night during this time frame.
Some of the topics that will be covered during the academy are as follows: Patrol Tactics, Domestic Disturbances, Criminal Investigations and Narcotics Identification. Each student will also have the opportunity to shoot a firearm on the Bixby Police Firing Range.

For those whom may be interested in becoming familiar with a progressive police department or have a desire to be involved in a growing community applications for the 20113 academy are available at the Bixby Police Department,

An applicant must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver license, pass a criminal background check, not have a protective order against them, and have no felony convictions
